9/11 Remembered – Seats Lost in Gun Control – Obama Drums of War
Rex Latchford with another DayPage for 9/11 2013. For me, for many of us, a sad reminder of a bad day. I lost literally hundreds of friends and co-workers, many loved ones, my wife, my job, my life on 9/11/2001. I’ll never forget that day. As time has passed, things have only gotten weirder. I’m no longer convinced that Osama Bin Laden was the key factor in the attack, or that the jets that flew into the buildings as I watched were the final cause of the collapse of the towers. To see what I’m talking about, visit the architects and engineers for 9/11 truth site at www.ae911truth.org — well, that took any closure I might have gotten from the end of Osama Bin Laden away from me. As Bradley Manning showed us, the US Government is hardly trustworthy, honest, or acting in our best interest, pursuing instead it’s own agenda… which seems more like it’s about controlling us or nailing us to the floor.
Some days, I’ll still look up at the clock and see the numbers 9/11 not once, but twice a day.
Well, in the news this day, we have two senators who have lost their seats in recall elections in Colorado. Both Democrats, they enraged voters by voting for gun control, and have been replaced by Republicans. I’m not a Republican or Democrat, but I have to say that gun control sounds like a great idea until you consider the two facts that lead voters to their conclusion:
- Mentally Ill people and criminals do not care about laws and complying with them
- And, The People don’t want to be disarmed by their government. First, because it isn’t constitutional, and second, for the very reason it’s unconstitutional, the people don’t want to be disarmed by a government that’s become hostile to its people – as in “The War on Citizens”.
In other news, President Obama is still beating the Drums of War against Syria (despite a lot of double-talk). The double-talk and his actions speak more of a man who has a gun held to the back of his head and to his family’s heads as he reads a speech he doesn’t necessarily believe in. Otherwise, why the clumsy move to have the house vote on strikes against Syria (which he could predict would face stiff resistance)? Why not use his so-called “executive powers”, which contradict the War Powers Act as other presidents have done in the recent past? Talking heads this morning are scratching their heads, calling the most recent developments “strange”, “out-of-sequence” and the like.
NBC this morning mistakenly reported today is Obama’s 48th birthday. Wikipedia states his birthday is August 4th, and he’s 52. What an odd error to make.
That’s DayPage for today, and I’ll be back to turn the page on another new day tomorrow… join me then. A production of Radio InfoWeb – Visit DayPage.net
